I'm not really sure if they have lost this year. I know they blew threw our conference (Hogo) with ease. If they have lost this year it probably happened against Radford or another team from the New River Valley.

The two best teams in Region C meet on Thursday. Floyd County is undefeated and GW has just lost one. Bland County had a very good team, but their coach was dismissed a couple of weeks ago for reasons I don't know. I'm sure that took away from their game, but GW blitzed them nonetheless. I don't think anyone has gotten close to Floyd this year. Too bad for Region C that the bracket falls with these two meeting in the semi-finals. The Region D Champion will have an easier road to the final four because of this.

After spotting Grundy a 3-point lead after the 1st quarter, Magna Vista went on a 15-0 run, inc. a 2:00, 10-point streak by Ashley Norton, as the Lady Warriors easily defeated Grundy 66-38. After a pretty even 8 minute stretch sandwiching h/t, MV went on another 15-0 run to lead 56-26 with 6:00 to play. Norton led all scorers w/ 25 points while Latisha Belcher added 24. Kaitlyn Riley & Ashley Cook led the Lady Wave (19-4) w/ 12 each.

MV (17-3) advances to play either Tazewell (15-10) or Va. High (20-3) for the Region IV crown Friday night.
